Playing music locally for a number of years Britney has performed on the stages of many San Diego venues.

Story of Blue is an original San Diego based rock band whose style and influences are rooted in the genres of American music, including blues, jazz, and hip-hop. Ben Johnston’s passionate, soaring voice is channeled through songs that contain powerful lyrics with common, straightforward messages of faith, love, and hope. Story of Blue brings a unique and wholly individual sound that mixes Ben’s electric and acoustic guitars with Britney Sandoval’s keyboard. Britney delivers that signature feel to Story of Blue’s songs with brilliant effects intertwined with her classic piano sound. The rhythm section of Don Wiseman and Tony Sandoval is rich and diverse, all the while providing a solid foundation for Story of Blue’s songs. Story of Blue is a band that reaches out to all ages. With over 20 years of experience on the piano, Britney’s greatest assets are her diverse influences which include classical, blues, rock and alternative music. Playing music locally for a number of years Britney has performed on the stages of many San Diego venues.	Ben Johnston, the voice of Story of Blue, is a self-taught singer and songwriter. His songwriting influences include Bob Marley, U2, Pearl Jam and Coldplay. On stage, Ben’s guitar sounds come from his Chet Atkins acoustic-electric Gibson guitar and Les Paul electric. He has performed as a lead vocalist in other local San Diego bands, showcasing his talents at many venues around Southern California.	Don Wiseman’s drumming is rich and diverse, all the while providing a solid foundation for the sound of Story of Blue. A Gretsch Drums endorsee, this experienced musician’s drumming has taken him from alternative to jazz bands and from shows around the southwest to a gig at the Playboy Mansion. Don is even a talented vocalist in his own right, fronting a jazz standards band.	Tony Sandoval solidifies the Story of Blue sound with his bass playing. Like the other members of blue, Tony brings to the band diverse musical interests. Tony also plays with drummer Don Wiseman in a jazz standards group. In these bands and past projects Tony has gained much experience playing a variety of smaller and headlining gigs all around San Diego.
